Renewable Energy 4 Devon (RE4D) aimed to maximise the opportunities for local economic benefits and business growth amongst renewable energy companies by increasing the demand for and deployment of smaller scale renewable energy installations. In addition, it assisted SMEs and communities to reduce their energy costs.
RE4D offered advice and support from initial enquiry to installation, including renewable energy technology options, sources of funding and planning issues. The project provided:
-
Service provision to businesses, households, communities, schools and the public sector across Devon
-
Dedicated line for advice and information
-
Independent expert advisors on renewable energy technologies
-
Capital grants for feasibility studies and installation
Although the RE4D project is no longer funded to offer free advice and mentor support to individuals and organisations wishing to install renewable energy systems, key elements of the project do continue. The RE4D project partners continue to work closely together and we encourage interest to our site services. Devon County Council continue to support Devon's renewable energy installers and suppliers through Regen SW.
