Subsidised training in RE for plumbers

Under the SDCREN project we are offering subsidised training to apprentice plumbers and NVQ 3 plumbing graduates to upskill and gear up for the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive in Oct 2012. To be eligible you must be a resident in the South Devon Coastal Area - click here for a map.

Training on offer is available from 3 centres - The South Devon College Energy Centre, Nu-Heat in Honiton and SWAAT in Liskeard.

The courses will skill trainees in the installation of solar thermal, ground and air source heat pumps and biomass boilers.  There is also on offer health and safety pre-requisites training that may be required and help with completing documentation for Microgeneration Certification Scheme registration once the installation training is complete.

A menu of what is on offer will soon be available and training is to start Sept 2011.
