Then read on because you could be the Devon Community of the Year
Devon Community of the Year is a new annual award from the Community Council of Devon, launched to mark their 50th anniversary. It is open to any Devon group, town, village, or society, that thinks like a community and acts like a community and has worked to improve their physical or social environment.
The Devon Community of the Year winner will be a community which has been inspirational in what it does, and the way it has come together to improve the lives of local people.The winner of the Devon Community of the Year will receive £500
This year's awards also feature two special categories and the winners of each will be awarded £250:
- healthy commnunity of the year - sponsored by NHS Devon
- green community of the year - sponsored by South West Water
