New home insulation campaign!

CosyDevon is about to embark on a campaign to reduce fuel poverty and CO2 emissions in Devon!

We are hoping that this campaign will save at least 967 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, and £315,000 per year from the collective energy bills of all those who take up the offer. However, if everyone who receives a letter takes advantage of the offer, we could save up to 97,000 tonnes COper year and £3 million.

CosyDevon will be targeting 75,000 householders across Devon, beginning early September, with information on how those who are in receipt of certain benefits or are over 70 years of age can have cavity wall and loft insulation installed completely free through the scheme.

Householders can apply either online at http://www.cosydevon.co.uk/ or by ringing the Energy Saving Trust Advice centre on 0800 512012.

The offer is open to homeowners and private tenants in Devon, even if they do not receive a letter. And even if you are not in receipt of benefits or over 70, there are substantial discounts available.

Insulation is the best way to reduce your carbon footprint and your fuel bill. By installing cavity wall and loft insulation an average 3 bedroom semi detached home can save 1290 kg CO2 per year and £420 oer year from their energy bill. (Source: EST and Eon)
