EAD is a DEBI Award finalist!
EAD is proud to be a finalist in the Environmental Goods and Services category of the Devon Environmental Business Initiative Awards. We were one of five finalists in a field of nearly 50 applicants in recognition of good environmental practice in business. Chief Executive David Fletcher and Chair of Trustees Rachel Silcock attended the awards ceremony ate the Met Office in November.
This is what the judges said about us:
Based in Plymouth, Energy Action Devon has a long track record of providing support and advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy options to householders. They also partner with local authorities across Devon to deliver projects like Cosy Devon, aimed at helping householders with loft and cavity wall insulation. Based in Plymouth, this charity has a history of real commitment to the environment and helping Devon's people, particularly as part of the delivery organisation for the Energy Saving Trust's advice service. Other work that Energy Action Devon are involved in includes an innovative passive house retrofit project on Exmoor, staff behavioural change programmes and Renewable Energy 4 Devon. The judges were also impressed with the personal commitment of the team to minimise the environmental impact of their office with composting, recycling and energy efficiency measures in place.
