Energy Action Devon's Tom wins apprentice of the year!

Tom , who began working at Energy Action Devon in February 2009 as a modern apprentice studying for his Customer Service NVQ2, has this week been awarded Achievement Training's 'Apprentice of the Year'.

Tom was put forward for the award following his hard work and determination whilst studying for his qualification, completing the 1 year course in just 6 months!  Tom is now a full time energy advisor as part of the Energy Saving Trust advice centre team after also completing his NEA/City & Guilds 6176 Energy Awareness qualification.  The fact that Tom worked so hard and has achieved so much contributed to him winning this prestigous and well deserved award.

He was presented with the award at the 'Celebrating Success' ceremony  held at the University of Plymouth, hosted by Plymouth's Training Provider Network .  Many local training providers are involved in the annual event as it is the perfect way to showcase and celebrate the success of learners.

The winners were pampered with champagne, prizes and a cheque, with photographers capturing the excitement of the whole night!    The evening's highlights were covered by The Evening Herald and Heart FM.

Many congratulations from all at Energy Action Devon to Tom!
